Church of God World Mission Society Keeps the Sabbath Day Holy!

If one wants to receive God’s blessing we must follow what the “blessed one says”. If I want to keep my job, I need to follow the instructions the HR gives to me otherwise I can’t keep my job. It is the same with God. Many Christians believe they are blessed by God. That’s a good faith, however, we need to receive confirmation that we are truly blessed by God. First of all, let’s see evidence that only on the Seventh Day God promised His abundant blessings.

And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day (Gen 1:5)

And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day. (Gen 1:8)

And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day. (Gen 1:13)

And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day. (Gen 1:19)

And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day. (Gen 1:23)

And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. (Gen 1:31)

We can see the pattern from days 1 through 5. God worked all day long and he made many wonderful things. Of course, i didn’t quote the whole thing because it’d be too long, you can read on your own the magnificent work of God. However, there is one thing that separates all the 6 days from the 7th day.

Gen 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.  By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.  Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

God Almighty did not bless the first, second, third, fourth, fifth or even sixth day. He blessed the Seventh Day and made it Holy because He chose to rest on that day. Of course, every day is blessed if we keep the 7th Day Holy as God commanded even through the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20).

On our next post we will get into more details regarding the seventh day of the week and the Sabbath Day which most Christians have fallen into the fatal error believing it’s abolished.
